Today, I did my final day of workouts in the Men's Fitness "Eternal Beach Body Workout". In 3 months, I've lost 5-10 pounds, lost fat and gained muscle. Thanks, Men's Fitness, for a great workout -- I'm ready for the beach.
The results, I think, speak for themselves. Here's a picture of me after today's final tough workout (cut myself doing some lateral pushups to exhaustion...)
We are now summer members of the Cape Cod Museum of Art. We spent some time at the museum this afternoon. It is a lovely museum, with impressive exhibits. Oh, there is a Motherwell downstairs too. Noah discovered an artist that he liked, William Gropper. The painting is called, "Amusement Park".

Today on the way back from the barn, we saw a bear! I was driving down the road that leads to the highway, a road that winds through some still-forested hills, but which is flanked by plenty of houses as well. We turned the corner and there, lumbering across the road, was a black bear! It walked into the forest and vanished from view, but after my initial "Whoa, cool!" reaction, it occurred to me that I wasn't really psyched about riding my horse on trails that might also be used by bears.
Oh, and then we saw a wild turkey. But it was no bear.
Hmm... I wanted this to permanently be on my blog. Need to figure that out before the baseball playoffs start...
Update: Great, I did it. But to make it fit in the right column, look how tiny I had to make it. Practically useless (except that at least it will remind me to click and read Bill Simmons' columns.)
After our trip to the museum, we stopped by Sweet. The kids enjoyed the cupcakes- I did not get to try them, as there were no dairy free cupcakes. We may have to go back...
