Actually, it isn't really space. This is a video of what happens when you pop a water balloon at zero gravity. It wasn't recorded in space. It was recorded on the Zero G plane (the "Vomit Commit"). And it is really cool.

A friend of mine named Jeff Marx, the creator of Avenue Q, sent this image to me today. It is a great reminder of what is at stake in this upcoming election in California. This country has been through "separate but equal" before. As Jeff wrote in his email, "marriage for some and 'civil unions' for others is not equality." I couldn't agree more. Please vote no on Prop 8. Gay men and women in California should not be second class citizens.
I don't do bumper stickers but this strikes me as a very clear cut human rights issue. Yard signs, bumper stickers, temporary tatoos, we've got 'em all.
